Our Ethical Approach

Built With Intent. Backed by Principles.

éS is privately owned, which gives us the freedom to move with intention-not pressure. We don’t answer to trends or short-term gains. We answer to skateboarding.

From how our shoes are designed to how we work with people around the world, we try to make decisions we can stand behind. That means choosing quality over shortcuts, relationships over margins, and long-term thinking over quick wins. These values are not marketing lines; they guide how we operate day to day.

Safety & Social Responsibility

An Open Culture

Skateboarding has never been one thing, and it never should be. Different styles, backgrounds, identities, and approaches are what keep it progressing.

We support an open culture-whilst skating, in the workplace, and in the communities we’re part of. That means working with local skate shops, crews, and grassroots initiatives to help remove barriers and create space for new voices. It also means listening, learning, and staying flexible as skateboarding continues to evolve.

Respect is non-negotiable. Creativity thrives when people feel welcome.

Accountability to the Scene

éS was built through real-world feedback, conversations, and honest opinions.Because that’s what we’ve been a part of since we started skating as kids.
That hasn’t changed.

We stay connected to the people who skate our shoes, sell our product, and support the brand. When feedback comes in-good or bad-we take it seriously. It helps shape future products, partnerships, and decisions.

Staying accountable keeps us grounded and ensures we’re moving forward with skateboarding, not ahead of it.

Respect Across the Chain

Behind every pair of shoes is a network of people. Their work matters.

We expect fair treatment, safe working conditions, and respect for everyone involved-from our internal teams to our manufacturing partners. All suppliers are required to follow our Code of Conduct, covering labor standards, safety, and ethical practices. We don’t treat this as a formality; we actively monitor and reinforce these standards.

Skateboarding is built on trust. That should extend to how products are made.

Environmental Responsibility

Smarter Material Choices

We skate the same streets as everyone else-so protecting those environments matters.

We continue to explore more responsible material options, including recycled and thoughtfully sourced components, without compromising durability or performance.Sustainability isn’t a trend for us; it’s an ongoing process of improvement.

Every change, even small ones, adds up.

Reducing Impact Beyond the Product

Our responsibility doesn’t stop at the shoe itself. We also look at how products are packaged, shipped, and distributed.

By refining logistics, reducing unnecessary materials, and improving efficiency where possible, we work to limit waste and emissions across our supply chain. Progress here is incremental-but consistent effort matters.

Design That Lasts

Durability has always been central to éS design.
