It was the look we all tried to emulate. That effortless flow. That presence. Everyone on the block wanted to look like Tom Penny.
1995.
Launched in 1995, the éS Accel was designed by Pierre-André Senizergues for pure skateboarding - with performance, durability, and boardfeel at the core. But visually, it blew people away. It did way more than Pierre could have hoped for - it became a style icon.
The brown/gum colorway, worn by Penny in his most legendary years, burned itself into skateboarding’s collective memory. Every time we’ve released a version of the Accel, brown/gum has been a must. But for the return of the original shape, we waited - and did it with Tom’s full seal of approval.

From Menikmati to magazine covers, Huntington Beach to Southbank, Penny’s footage and photos in the Accel became time-stamped moments in skate history. He made the impossible look effortless. And on his feet - always - was the brown éS Accel.
